Kids' Colonial DaysCrafts, Games, and an Historic Scavenger Hunt

Event Details

kids col days group
Our own mini-day camp experience, Kids’ Colonial Days, will take place on June 26 through 28 this year.  This hands-on program introduces kids entering 5th through 7th grade to early life in New England through old fashioned crafts, games, and a historic scavenger hunt. Highlights of the program include a tour of the historic Benjamin Lincoln House, which dates from 1660, and an ice cream party celebrating Thomas Jefferson’s favorite dessert.  Home base is the Historical Society’s 1688 Old Ordinary house museum, where kids are exposed to historic artifacts and reproductions which give them a feel for local history. Places in colonial kids days are limited so it’s best to register early. Call 781-749-7721. Fee: $60/child for members, $70/child for non-members.  Download a registration form here.
