After a week of paid training and rehearsal, you will be responsible for delivering all tours that we offer including tours of our three Museums – the Hingham Heritage Museum at Old Derby, the Old Ordinary and the Benjamin Lincoln House – and our walking and History Cart tours. We seek candidates passionate about sharing their love of American and Hingham history and with a commitment to visitor engagement and providing an inclusive tour. 2024 Curatorial Summer Internships

The Hingham Historical Society offers two paid summer internships focused on curatorial and collections work and designed for students who have completed their undergraduate degree and are pursuing or considering advanced coursework work in museum studies, public history, library science, or a related field. Both the Sally Hess and Andrews Family Internships report into the Collections Manager, day-to-day work and summer projects may be managed by other staff and a lead volunteer. On occasion, exemplary undergraduates in their third or fourth year will be considered.
